Arup Relocates NYC Offices to 140 Broadway
Global sustainable development consultant Arup has signed a lease for 99,400 square feet at 140 Broadway, a 51-story office tower in Manhattan’s Financial District owned by Union Investment, the New York Business Journal reported. Arup’s New York City offices are currently based elsewhere in FiDi at 77 Water St., which owner VanBarton Group plans to convert to residential.
“We’ve decided to relocate our New York office with the goal of inhabiting a new space that sets us up for improved collaboration, greater flexibility and an enhanced ability to partner with and support our local, regional and global clients,” Kyle Fisher, co-leader for Arup’s New York office, told the Business Journal.
Colliers co-brokered the 16-and-half-year deal with LegacyNY, the Business Journal reported, citing sources familiar with the deal. The Arup relocation helps backfill a large block of available office space at 140 Broadway. Excluding Arup’s lease signing, the 1.25-million-square-foot office tower is marketing about 300,000 square feet of office space.
