Light Sculpture and Tapestry Shows Off Redesigned Lobby at 315 Hudson St
The newly-redesigned lobby at 315 Hudson St. now includes a light sculpture.
“Reef” is a cascading, 10-by-10-foot LED light installation by Brooklyn-based light sculptor Jason Krugman. It will be permanently on display behind the lobby desk of the 500,000-square-foot office tower in Manhattan’s Hudson Sq. neighborhood. The lobby also include a rotating art exhibit, starting with “E Pluribus,” a tapestry by British-born visual artist Muriel Stockdale.
“Our art exhibition is a perfect complement for our new lobby, which was designed to be modern, interactive and dynamic,” said Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons, which is part way through a $65 million redevelopment of the entire property. Resnick will also add a 10,000-square-foot landscaped green roof. The entire project is slated for completion in 2019.
