Art Gallery Relocates Within Chelsea

Cushman & Wakefield arranged a long-term, 6,552-square-foot ground floor lease on behalf of Sundaram Tagore Gallery at 540 W. 26th St. in Chelsea. Sundaram Tagore Gallery will be relocating from its existing location on 27th Street, where it has been situated for more than 20 years.

The Cushman & Wakefield team of Steven Soutendijk, Sean Moran and Patrick O’Rourke represented the landlord, an affiliate of Dallas-based RAMROCK Real Estate, LLC, while Molly Sandza, also of Cushman & Wakefield, represented the tenant.

“Sundaram has a strong commitment to New York City and this lease is a great endorsement of the neighborhood’s thriving art scene,” said Sandza.

Established in 2000 in SoHo, Sundaram Tagore Gallery is a contemporary art gallery representing established and emerging artists around the globe. The gallery has additional locations on Madison Avenue and in Singapore and London.
