Arriving at International Center: AmeriVet

A company seeking ownership stakes in U.S. veterinary clinics officially hung its shingle at San Antonio’s International Center.  AmeriVet Partners Management Inc., a sister company to VetStrategy of Canada, opted to put its headquarters at 203 S. St. Mary’s St. because of the flexibility in space.

AmeriVet currently has three employees at the San Antonio location, and expects to increase its workforce to between 60-100 people in the next three to five years. According to COE Thomas Thill, local talent and the attractiveness of the city to even more potential recruits were also important when it came to selecting San Antonio as its base.

The company will invest in veterinary clinical facilities, and also offer expertise in marketing, information technology and finance. AmeriVet has, so far, secured stakes in 25 U.S. veterinary practices.
