Arizona Boardwalk Picks 48 Acres In Scottsdale Entertainment Center
No word yet on what the developers of Scottsdales’s Arizona Boardwalk want to do with their recent 48-acre land acquisition, but the Phoenix Business Journal reports it will most likely be innovative and fun. Home to several family-friendly experience and entertainment retail concepts in Scottsdale, Arizona Boardwalk is looking to bolster its footprint with the additional land on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land along the Loop 101 freeway. The parcel is directly north of tenants like OdySea Aquarium, Butterfly Wonderland, Pangea Land of the Dinosaurs and the newly opened Museum of Illusions.
The group already controls 37 acres. 2.5 of the acres are set aside for a 155-key Hyatt Place Hotel, which is expected to open early next year. The property is just north of Talking Stick Resort and The Sydney, a nearly $100 million entertainment venue from Palmer Development Group. Caliber Cos. closed on nearby property aimed at bringing bars, restaurants and other entertainment options to the area.
