Ardent Buys Three-Acre Site in MD

Ardent Company, LLC, a Maryland-based general contracting firm, has completed the acquisition of 1300 Defense Highway, a three-acre site in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, for $2.19 million. The property features a small commercial office building and a covered storage structure. Matthew Curran and Andrew Meeder of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, LLC represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction.

“The Industrial Outdoor Storage asset class has blossomed in recent years and there is increasing demand for sites in an extremely supply constrained market,” Meeder said. The buyer was attracted to the site due to its existing C4 zoning, which permits outdoor storage use. Based in Brentwood, Maryland, Ardent Company plans to utilize the site for storing construction-related equipment.
