Arden Group Divests from Charlotte’s BB&T Center for $115M

The Arden Group has sold the BB&T Center, a 22-story, 568,646-square-foot office building and adjacent 11-story, 1,520-space parking garage in Uptown Charlotte. The sales price was reported as $115 million.

Located at 200 South College, the property features a tenant roster that includes Truist, AIG, TekSystems, AeroTek, and RingCentral. Arden acquired the tower in 2017 and completed $10.5 million in renovations, including the addition of a 5,200-square-foot tenant amenity center with conference and training rooms, a tenant lounge and an 1,800-square-foot outdoor deck.

Chris Lingerfelt and Ryan Clutter of JLL represented the undisclosed buyer in the acquisition of the office building. In addition, the JLL team represented Arden Group in the sale of the parking garage to Cousins Properties.
