Architecture, Engineering Firm HDR Leases 75K SF with Feil Organization

HDR, the largest employee-owned architecture and engineering firm based in the U.S., has signed a long-term, 74,500-square-foot lease at 7 Penn Plaza in Midtown Manhattan. The Omaha-based firm will relocate one of its flagship offices to the building, occupying the 15th, 16th and 17th floors. As part of the transaction, landlord The Feil Organization will deliver a new 14,000-square-foot building-wide rooftop amenity.

“At Feil, our approach has always been centered on collaboration and helping companies identify space that supports long-term growth and performance,” said Brian Feil, principal at The Feil Organization. “HDR’s decision to relocate to 7 Penn Plaza reflects our strategy of repositioning assets to elevate them and ensure they remain competitive in today’s market.”

The Feil Organization was represented in-house by Andrew Wiener and Kyle Young. JLL represented HDR.

Located at 370 Seventh Ave., 7 Penn Plaza is a 357,000-square-foot, 18-story tower adjacent to Madison Square Garden and The Paramount Theatre. The HDR lease brings the property to 90% occupancy.
