Apple Takes Entire Kilroy Seattle Development

Los Angeles-based Kilroy Realty signed a deal with Apple to take all of the office space at 333 Dexter Ave. N, a 660,000-square-foot project under development in Seattle. The complex features two 12-story buildings encompassing 635,000 square feet of office, 15,000 square feet of retail space as well as 19,000 square feet of outdoor space.

Apple’s Kristina Raspe says, “Seattle will become a key engineering hub for Apple with new positions distributed across many specialty engineering fields.” The consumer technology giant envisions adding 2,000 software and hardware jobs in Seattle over the coming five years.

The site at Dexter Avenue and Thomas Street, the former home to KING 5, is near the core Amazon campus in South Lake Union. The project is Kilroy’s first ground-up development in Seattle, and is slated to deliver by the end of the year.

JLL’s Lisa Stewart, Cleita Harvey and Joe Gowan handle the office leasing assignment at the property.
