Apple Plans to Open Office in Westbank’s Futuristic Vancouver Tower

Apple Inc. plans to open an office at Westbank Corp. and Allied Properties REIT’s 24-story 400 West Georgia in Vancouver, BC. The Cupertino, CA-based tech giant is reportedly taking two floors in the 367,000-square-foot futuristic office tower that is scheduled to be delivered in the spring of 2020.

The office development is comprised of several clusters of four-story, steel-framed cubes arranged around a central concrete core. The design is by OSO and Merrick Architecture, and features glass floors overlooking the city, roof terraces under overhanging volumes, vertical gardens framing views of the mountains and the largest rooftop amenity in Vancouver.

Other key tenants signed on at the building include Deloitte Canada’s Vancouver headquarters, which is taking 117,000 square feet in the top 10 floors, and co-working outfit, Spaces, which claimed roughly 120,000 square feet. The building is across the street from Amazon’s new 416,000-square-foot digs now under re-development in the former Canada Post mailing center.
