Apartments Planned Near The Villages
If you like golf, a new apartment complex planned just outside The Villages may be for you. It will be close to 12 country clubs and 40 executive golf courses. The 248-unit Evolve at Wildwood from North Carolina-based Evolve Companies will be built along County Road 108 east of U.S. 301 in Oxford.
The garden-style complex will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, which will include quartz countertops and walk-in showers. It is expected to be completed in spring 2026.
The Orlando Business Journal reports financing will come from shareholders buying stock in the project. The project acquired a $11 million preferred equity placement, which means the issuing of new stock for investors, from Texas-based finance company Greysteel.
The Villages is one of the country’s largest age-restricted communities, covering an area of 32 square miles. Its various subdivisions have over 80,000 residents.
