Apartments at Former Uptown Hotel Begin Pre-leasing

Pre-leasing is underway at The Darlington Apartments, a boutique 48-unit rental community located at 4700 N. Racine Ave., in the North Side’s Uptown neighborhood. Developed by Elmdale Partners, with Spaces Real Estate serving as the exclusive leasing agent, The Darlington Apartments is scheduled to begin move-ins on June 1.

“The gut rehab of the former Darlington Hotel will bring modern yet attainably priced rental housing to the Uptown neighborhood,” said Bentley Phillips, founder of Spaces Real Estate. “As part of the renovation, the building’s vintage red signage has been restored, maintaining the character of the existing structure even as much-needed structural and cosmetic repairs are made.”

Elmdale acquired the Darlington property through a transaction brokered by Spaces Invest, a division of Spaces Real Estate focused on the sale of multifamily and commercial properties, including redevelopment opportunities.
