Another San Francisco Expansion for WeWork

WeWork added its eighth shared office location in San Francisco, signing a 60,575-square-foot lease at Columbia Property Trust’s 650 California St. The 12-year deal brings the 477,000-square-foot building to 81% leased.

The 33-story Financial District building, a landmark of the skyline since it delivered in 1964, underwent a renovation and remodeling project that was completed in 2013. That included pairing the tower’s distinctive mid-century architecture with a clean, modern interior design and a luxury amenities program.

Columbia’s David Dowdney said, “At 650 California, we’ve succeeded in blending a great location with first-rate amenities, appealing aesthetics and modern spaces with the built-in flexibility to suit any tenant’s needs.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s J.D. Lumpkin, Zach Siegel and Sam Wasserstein represented the landlord. WeWork was self-represented.
