Another Prize for Toll Brothers’ Developments
The Pierhouse condominiums and 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge have won the National Grid Award for Energy Efficiency at the Building Brooklyn Awards. The awards were given by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce at a ceremony and cocktail reception held on July 13, 2017 at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge.
“Having this project selected as the winner of a sustainability award is an honor and testament to our commitment and focus on bettering the built environment,” said David Von Spreckelsen, division president for Toll Brothers City Living, developer of the two projects located on the waterfront at Brooklyn Bridge Park. “Pierhouse is expected to achieve LEED Silver certification, as it incorporates green features and amenities throughout and serves as a model for energy efficiency.”
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and its Real Estate & Development Committee present the Building Brooklyn Awards annually, in recognition of recently completed construction and renovation projects that enrich Brooklyn’s neighborhoods and economy.
