Andreesen Horowitz Inks Two-Building Lease at DivcoWest’s Sand Hill Collection

Andreessen Horowitz, also known as a16z, leased 34,390 square feet of newly redeveloped space at 2400-2450 Sand Hill Rd. in The Quad, one of three campuses within DivoWest’s Sand Hill Collection (SHC) in Menlo Park, which also includes The Ranch and The Grove. The venture capital firm will occupy two newly constructed buildings, with plans to move in sometime in 2026.

“We are thrilled to welcome a16z,” said Gregg Walker, president of DivcoWest Real Estate Asset Management. “Their innovative approach to investing in the future makes them the perfect addition to SHC’s community of forward-thinkers and trailblazers. We believe that a16z will not only enrich SHC’s vibrant community but also reinforce the Sand Hill Collection as a hub for transformative ideas and dynamic partnerships.”

JLL’s Hugh Scott and Derek Johnson represented a16z in leasing negotiations. Christian Prelle, Brad Van Linge, Sarah Bohannon and Clayton Jones of Newmark represented DivcoWest.

DivcoWest acquired the 26 buildings that now comprise SHC in two transactions in 2011 and 2020. TSHC represents approximately 45% of the total office inventory on Sand Hill Road, a stretch of road traversing Menlo Park, Palo Alto and Woodside and home to several leading firms in the global economy.
