Ancora L&G Commences Construction on Rhode Island Life Science Building 

Ancora L&G, a joint venture between Ancora and Legal & General Capital, has announced the commencement of construction on a new life science building at 150 Richmond Street in Providence, Rhode Island.  

The 210,000 square feet building is designed to attract diverse life science and health science organizations to downtown Providence. It will include 80,000 square feet of Rhode Island State Health Laboratory, funded by the CDC, as well as 120,000 square feet of space for commercial and institutional users. Brown University has signed a letter of intent to anchor the private laboratory space.  

“The RI State Health Lab project is a great exam how innovative partnerships can benefit the larger community—investing in science, education, economic development and, most importantly, the health of our citizenry,” said Governor Daniel McKee.
