Anadarko Planning 450K-SF Regional Headquarters

Anadarko Petroleum, headquartered in Houston, is moving forward with plans for a new regional headquarters in Midland, TX. The 450,000-square-foot campus will consist of two office buildings, an amenity building and a child-care center. The campus will initially house 300, with the capacity to expand to 800.

Groundbreaking on the campus at Deauville Boulevard on Midland’s west side, will take place by the end of 2017; completion will take 18 months. The company has a field office in Wink, TX, with a focus on its Delaware Basin holdings in West Texas. Anadarko president and chief operator Al Walker noted that having regional offices in Midland is an important part of growth.

“One of the reasons we moved our operations that oversee the Delaware from Houston to Midland is we wanted to be a part of the community. That’s an important part of our success,” Walker said, at a recent reception.
