Wichita Falls Welcomes All of Amfuel
American Fuel Cell & Coated Fabrics Co. (Amfuel) announced it is officially closing up shop in Magnolia, AR, and relocating 100% its operations to Wichita Falls, TX. Many of the 300 employees impacted have been offered transfers to the Texas plant.
Amfuel is no stranger to Wichita Falls. Early this year, it began operations inside of the city’s former Delphi building at 8600 Central Fwy. N. The company, which manufactures fuel cells and bladders for military and commercial aircraft, received a $2 million incentive package from the Wichita Falls Economic Development Corp. The package included funds for capital equipment purchases, and a state grant for employee training. The economic impact of Amfuel could eventually reach more than $20 million.
The main attraction for Amfuel at its new location is proximity to Dallas-Fort Worth and nearby Sheppard Airforce Base.
