Ameritex Homes Solidifies Plans for Longview Duplexes

Ameritex Homes, a Dallas-based homebuilder, applied for permits to build 16 duplexes throughout the East Texas city of Longview, TX. Many of the duplexes are planned for neighborhoods in South Longview and, an Ameritex spokesperson told the Longview News-Journal that Ameritex will likely rent the duplexes directly, versus selling them to investors that would, in turn, rent them.

The builder has applied to build seven-room duplexes on Timpson Street, and eight-room duplexes on Plier and Oden Streets, and on Pinebrook Place. Meanwhile, in late 2019, Ameritex filed applications to build six-room duplexes on South Green Street and seven-room duplexes on Moberly Avenue. A construction timeline was not immediately available.
