America’s Square Adds 40K-SF Office Leases

America’s Square, an office complex near the US Capitol, has secured two new leases totaling nearly 40,000 square feet. The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) leased approximately 27,000 square feet, occupying the entire top floor of the 10-story building at 300 New Jersey Avenue in Washington, DC. ClearPath, a nonprofit focused on clean energy policy, leased approximately 12,000 square feet in the same building.

“People want to work in connected and compelling places,” said Mark Witschorik, head of portfolio management, North America, at Jamestown. “With proximity to the National Mall and design that brings together historic and innovative architecture, America’s Square provides a unique offering in the heart of DC”

America’s Square comprises two connected buildings: 51 Louisiana Avenue, a historic structure with a classic limestone façade, and 300 New Jersey Avenue, a glass-and-steel building designed by architect Lord Richard Rogers. CBRE represented Jamestown in the transactions. Cushman & Wakefield represented ACLI.
