American Wire Group leases 200k sf manufacturing facility in Katy

American Wire Opens New Facility in Katy

American Wire Group (AWG) has leased a 205,200 square foot facility in Katy, Texas. The new building will enable Florida-based AWG to expand their manufacturing and distribution capabilities to a broader client base.

Grant Pruitt of Whitebox Real Estate represented American Wire Group in their lease negotiations. “AWG’s lease is just another example of a flourishing company choosing Texas as part of their growth plans,” says Whitebox’s Pruitt. “This was a great single-building opportunity in a tight market.” AWG said they chose Harris County for its newest facility to tap into the rich labor pool and leverage its centralized location.

Headquartered in Miami, American Wire Group offers a complete line of wire, cable, and accessories for utility and renewable energy applications, including wind, solar and battery storage. Additionally, AWG specializes in services including cable management, cable engineering and design, supply chain (procurement, logistics, transportation) and more.

AWG will bring approximately 30-50 new jobs to Katy over the next three years.
