American Tower Names Global COO

Boston-based communications REIT American Tower Corporation said Tuesday that Eugene Noel, currently EVP and president of the U. S. Tower Division, will become EVP and COO, a newly created global position, effective Jan. 13. He will oversee American Tower’s global operations and IT.

Noel joined the Company in 2011 as SVP, U.S. Tower Operations. Before being appointed the EVP and president of the U.S. Tower Division in 2023, he served as COO, U.S. Tower. He brings more than 25 years of experience in wireless real estate development and operations to his new position, including leadership positions held at Sprint Nextel and LightSquared.

Richard Rossi, currently SVP and general counsel of U.S. Tower, a position he has held since 2018, will succeed Noel as EVP and president, U.S. Tower, also effective Jan. 13. Rossi joined American Tower in 2001.
