American Landmark Makes First 2019 Houston Buy
American Landmark struck a deal to acquire Haven at Lakes of 610, a 282-unit, Class A apartment complex on Houston’s southwest side. The transaction is the Florida buyer’s first for the year in Houston, and seventh overall in the area.
Joint venture Guefen Development and The Rainier Cos. sold the asset, which is at 8900 Lakes at 610 Dr. The new owner plans to invest $1.4 million in the complex, and rebrand it as Aspire at 610. Upgrades will include faux-wood plank flooring, USB plugs and smart locks in all units. Amenity improvements will include adding a dog-washing station, fire pits, package locker system, and clubhouse and landscaping enhancements.
The complex, which delivered in 2018, offers one and two-bedroom units, ranging from 468 to 927 square feet. On-site features include a swimming pool/spa and copy and fax services.
