Amazon Wants to Bring You Drive-Thru Groceries

Groceries on demand have already hit prime California markets through Instacart and Amazon Fresh, and are continuing to grow. The world’s largest retailer, Amazon.com is ready to shake up the game again with groceries you can order and then pickup at a bricks and mortar drive-thru, launching in Silicon Valley.

Amazon’s first location appears to be in Sunnyvale where the developer has submitted plans for an 11,600 sf building which will include warehouse and drive-through distribution space. While Amazon is not named in the planning documents, sources familiar with the project say that Amazon is the tenant.
