Amazon to Begin Work on $98M Terrell Distribution Center

Amazon is constructing a new $98 million, 1.2 million-square-foot regional distribution center in Terrell, Texas. The Dallas Morning News reports construction could begin as early as August 2026, with completion slated for next year.

Amazon bought the 120-acre development site last year from Hunt Realty Investments. Located at 3201 Airport Road, the property is between the U.S. Route 80 and Interstate 20 corridors.

Amazon is also adding to its metro footprint by adding another 1.7 million-square-foot distribution center project. Construction kicked off two years ago in Cleburne, Texas, with the building on track for delivery this quarter.

Since 2010, Amazon has invested more than $100 billion across Texas, creating 100 fulfillment, sortation and delivery centers.
