Amazon Tech Hub to Occupy 145K SF at Domain 10

Amazon has announced that it would expand its Austin Tech Hub through the hire of 800 new tech jobs in areas including software and hardware engineering, research science and cloud computing. In order to accommodate the new hires, the retail giant is leasing 145,000 square feet of space in Domain 10, in the mixed-use, north Austin Domain development. The 299,673-square-foot office building at 11815 Alterra Pkwy. is currently under development by TIER REIT and Endeavor Real Estate Group.

The Austin tech hub is one of Amazon’s 17 North American Tech Hubs, which consists of a network of development centers. The Hubs employ a total of 20,000 employees that build new products and services for Amazon customers around the world. Austin-based teams primarily focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon Business, Amazon devices, video game design and advertising.
