Amazon Takes A Sip of Sonoma County Real Estate

Amazon is making its initial foray into Sonoma County with a 250,000-square-foot lease with Victory Station LLC. The giant ecommerce company reportedly claimed the entire 249,9040-square-foot industrial property at 22810 Eighth St. East near Schellville.

The facility, delivered in late 2018, will serve as a delivery station and e-commerce and last-mile warehouse. Amazon is slated to take occupancy later in the fall, following a $15-million facility build-out.

JLL handled lease negotiations for the tenant, while Cushman & Wakefield represented Victory Station, an entity affiliated with Jose McNeill, which bought the site in 2018 for $3.7 million.

The 19-acre site, entitled as part of an industrial subdivision 15 years ago, was acquired by Fairfield-based McNeill Real Estate Services in 2014. The owner reconfigured the site plan to accommodate a single facility. The warehouse was built by Devcon Construction, with equity capital arriving from Washington Capital Management and its partners.
