Amazon Studios Takes 75K SF at Culver Steps

Connect Los Angeles is next week (March 27th) at the Hotel Indigo in DTLA. Here is where to get more information and REGISTER.

Amazon Studios expanded its SoCal footprint again, taking all 75,000 square feet of office space at Hackman Capital Partners’ Culver Steps mixed-use project in Culver City, CA. The four-story property is under development and also includes 45,000 square feet of retail space, a 35,000-sqaure-foot public plaza and a two-level subterranean parking structure.

The 1.16-acre site at 9300 Culver Blvd. in downtown Culver City is across the street from the historic Culver Studios complex, where Amazon Studios leased 280,000 square feet of space last year. That property is also owned by Hackman Capital. Culver Steps is scheduled to deliver next spring.

The deal boosts Amazon’s Culver City presence to more than 350,000 square feet of space. That includes space to house its production arm, as well as video and advertising departments and movie reference site IMDb, which Amazon owns.
