Amazon Signs Full-Building Lease in Central Massachusetts

Amazon has signed a full-building lease to occupy 450,000 square feet in a distribution center at 139 Campanelli Drive in the Central Massachusetts town of Uxbridge, reported the Boston Business Journal. The retailing giant already has a similar site of more than 500,000 square feet less than two miles away.

A JLL team led by Joe Fabiano handles leasing at 139 Campanelli. Owned and developed by the Seyon Group and located along the Route 146 corridor, the facility will be Amazon’s latest such space in its growing Massachusetts distribution network, joining a 3.8 million-square-foot building north of Boston in North Andover and a 2.8-million-square-foot site in Charlton, another Central Massachusetts town.

The Route 146 corridor has become more popular for distribution sites, the Business Journal reported. The region sits between Worcester and Providence and between the Massachusetts Turnpike and I-95, with more available land and cheaper real estate than more established locations.
