Amazon Reveals Largest Renewable Energy Project

Amazon announced its plans to build a humongous wind farm in the Lone Star State that will generate enough renewable energy to power roughly 90,000 homes. With more than 100 turbines and a rotor diameter that is double the span of a Boeing 747’s wingspan, the Scurry County, Texas wind farm supports the company’s initiative towards running off of clean energy.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud data centers are pushing to achieve 100% renewable energy source to power its services, but for now, the company expects to reach 40% renewable by year’s end, which is up from 25% last year.
