Amazon Plans 1M-SF Bellevue Tower
Amazon revealed plans for a 43-story, 600-foot office tower totaling roughly one million square feet in downtown Bellevue, WA, which would be Amazon’s tallest skyscraper ever. The proposed 600 Bellevue development would house several thousand employees and be home to its vital Worldwide Operations team, which is shifting to the Eastside location from Seattle over the next few years.
The site at 600 108th Ave. N.E. was acquired earlier this year for $195 million by Amazon, and also could eventually house a second tower of similar size. The initial development phase is slated to be complete by 2024.
The Phase I tower is planned to include 885,000 square feet of office space on top of a pedestal containing 14,000 square feet of street-level retail space, 121,000 square feet of office amenity space and a 16,000-square-foot meeting center.
The Worldwide Operations team handles Amazon’s delivery and logistics business that operates more than 175 fulfillment centers, as well as its truck and airplane delivery fleet.
