Amazon-Leased Tower in Bellevue Tops Out
While tech companies like Google have been terminating leases in Puget Sound, Amazon will actually be increasing its footprint, when The Artise opens in early 2024. The Schnitzer West and Sellen Construction project in Bellevue, WA reached a milestone recently when the 25-story office tower topped-out.
The Daily Journal of Commerce reports the NBBJ-designed structure located at 788 106th Ave N.E. will have approximately 609,000 square feet of space, including about 5,000 square feet of retail and an underground parking garage with 900 stalls. The Artise is also targeting LEED Gold certification.
Amazon has mostly maintained its leases in the region, although the company chose not to renew at the West 8th building in the Denny Triangle. The retail giant is targeting May for workers to be back in the office three days a week, and has leases lined-up at several new buildings in Bellevue, including The Artise. So far, there’s been no indication Amazon plans on subleasing those new projects.
