Amazon Launches 14th Inland Empire Fulfillment Center in Beaumont

Amazon.com, Inc. plans to open a new four-story, 640,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Beaumont, CA. Located within Laguna Beach-based McDonald Property Group’s industrial business park, the site is near where Interstate 10 and State Route 60 merge.

Amazon’s Mark Stewart says, “The Inland Empire has been a great place to do business: serve customers, create jobs, and raise the bar on innovative technologies.”

This fulfillment center will join Amazon’s other Inland Empire fulfillment facilities in Eastvale, Moreno Valley, Redlands, Rialto, Riverside and San Bernardino, where the company launched its first California fulfillment center in 2012. Amazon currently employs more than 18,000 in the Inland Empire.

Construction of the facility is underway, and expected to deliver by the summer of 2019. More than 1,000 full-time jobs will be created. Employees will pick, pack and ship items to customers such as books, small electronics, school supplies and home goods.
