Amazon Inc. is planning another fulfillment center in the Phoenix area. The e-commerce giant is leasing a 554,000-square-foot distribution facility in the West 202 Logistics Center in southwest Phoenix. Amazon inked the $30-million deal with landlords Carlyle Group and Trammell Crow Co. Rusty Kennedy, Pat Feeney, James Cohn and Bill Bayless with CBRE had the leasing assignment.

Sources told Business Real Estate Weekly of Arizona that Amazon signed a long-term lease to occupy the property at 3333 S. 59th Ave., and is likely to secure other locations in the region. The company is expected to have several hundred employees at the facility, when it becomes operational in Q3 2020.

Amazon currently leases approximately six million square feet throughout the region.
