Amazon Bumps Up Presence at San Francisco Tower to 319K SF
Seattle-based Amazon is expanding its footprint at 525 Market Street in San Francisco to 319,000 square feet. The 38-story, 1.1-million-square-foot property is owned by an entity affiliated with J.P. Morgan Asset Management and investment partner, the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System.
The e-commerce giant is taking an additional 143,000 square feet at the Financial District building, where it already occupies 176,000 square feet.
Amazon has a significant and growing presence across the Bay Area. That includes space at Irvine Company’s Santa Clara Square mixed-use project at 2795 Augustine Dr.; flex/manufacturing in San Jose’s Berryessa neighborhood; as well as a number of sizeable occupancies at Jay Paul’s Moffett Towers I and Moffett Towers II in Sunnyvale.
