Amarillo National Bank to Acquire Lubbock National Bank
Two long-standing, West Texas banks are joining forces, as Amarillo National Bank entered into an agreement to acquire Lubbock National Bank. The transaction will include LNB’s six locations in Lubbock, four in Bryan/College Station, three in Austin and one in Fort Worth. The acquisition is scheduled to close in Q1 2019, with Lubbock National Bank retaining its name.
ANB launched in the 1890s as National Bank of Amarillo. The company employs 660 across 14 branches in Amarillo, one in Borger and three in Lubbock. Lubbock National Bank is approximate 101 years old. The merger will lead to a combined company with more than $5 billion in assets upon closing.
