Alvin Ailey Comes to Secaucus, NJ
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has signed a lease for 17,583 square feet of warehouse space at 1 County Road in Secaucus, NJ.
The dance company will use the space to store and build out sets that it will use in dance performances around the world. The company is moving its sets from its old warehouse in Long Island City, which is being redeveloped.
“Alvin Ailey was seeking the ideal location to serve as a storage and build-out site for both local and international performances that also offered easy access into New York City, where the company is headquartered,” said Arthur J. Mirante, II, principal and Tri-State president for Avison Young, who with Timothy Cadigan, Richard Sullivan and John Recchia represented the dance company. Mirante also serves on the board for the dance company.
CBRE’s Bill Waxman and Kevin Dudley represented property owner Bhasin Properties in the transaction.
