Alston & Bird Relocates NYC Offices to 51W52 in 170K-SF Lease

Newmark has arranged a new 169,664-square-foot lease on behalf of affiliates of Harbor Group International (HGI), at 51 W. 52nd St., bringing the iconic Midtown Manhattan office tower to full occupancy. International law firm Alston & Bird LLP has signed a 15-year lease and will relocate its New York offices from 90 Park Ave.

Executive vice chairman Howard Hersch, vice chairmen Greg Conen and Scott Klau, executive managing director Erik Harris and managing directors Jennifer Schreiber and Zach Weil serve as leasing agents for the property and represented HGI in negotiations. Savills’ Brad Walk, Matthew Barlow, David Goldstein, Joseph Learner, Matthew Brainard and Laura Whelan represented the tenant.

“We are proud to announce that our flagship property, 51W52, is now fully leased to a roster of prominent tenants, all of whom match the building’s prestige,” said HGI chairman and CEO Jordan E. Slone. “The success of 51W52 validates our strong faith in the resilience of the New York office market, especially for the best trophy properties in the best locations.”
