Almac Group to Expand PA Headquarters
Global pharmaceutical services company Almac Group is planning to expand operations at its existing headquarters in Lower Salford, a township located north of Philadelphia. The company will invest $24.4 million into the Lower Salford location, as well as boosting space at its Towamencin, PA facility. The end result will be 312 new, full-time jobs generated over the next three years.
Plans call for the Ireland-headquartered Almac to double its size in Towamencin by leasing an additional 26,000 square feet of office space and necessary equipment. Meanwhile, the 312 new jobs will be added to the current workforce at 1,110 at the U.S. headquarters at 25 Fretz Rd. in Souderton, PA. Almac Group was offered a $1.56 million Pennsylvania First Program Grant for the expansion and employment.
