AllianceBernstein Eyes Westward Move to Tishman Speyer’s New Tower

AllianceBernstein, which already is relocating its headquarters from New York to Nashville, reportedly will make a move of another kind. The investment firm is in negotiations to take around 200,000 square feet at Tishman Speyer’s Spiral, now under construction on Manhattan’s Far West Side.

Crain’s New York Business reported that about 850 AllianceBernstein employees will remain in the city once the headquarters move to Nashville is completed. The relocation to the Spiral will leave a sizable block of space vacant at 1345 Ave. of the Americas, according to Crain’s.

The Spiral already has an anchor tenant in the form of Pfizer, which is moving west from East 42nd Street into about 800,000 square feet at Tishman Speyer’s $3.7-billion tower. Law firm Debevoise & Plimpton is reportedly close to finalizing a lease for 450,000 square feet at 50 Hudson Yards, where Blackrock has already committed to 850,000 square feet.
