Allergan USA Will Open First NYC Office at 261 Madison

Global pharma company Allergan USA will open its first New York City office in a full-floor prebuilt at the Sapir Organization’s 261 Madison Ave., while IT solutions provider GFT Global is also leasing a full-floor space there. Both deals were arranged by CBRE on the landlord and tenant sides.

The 17,926-square-foot 11th floor of 261 Madison, where New Jersey-based Allergan will be housed, “was the first full-floor, Gensler-designed prebuilt that Sapir introduced at the property,” said CBRE’s Gregg Rothkin. “Allergan was drawn to the customized aesthetic of the installation and the floor’s private outdoor terrace, both of which give the office a very high-end feel.”

Rothkin and his colleagues, Peter Turchin, Brett Shannon, Tim Freydburg and Jared London, serve as leasing agents for 261 Madison. The CBRE team of Timothy Hay and Brian Hay represented Allergan, while the firm’s Scott Gottlieb and Gary Davies acted on behalf of GFT.
