Allen Matkins Hires Partner in Real Estate and JV Practices

Real estate and business law firm Allen Matkins has added partner Elizabeth N. Thompson to its San Diego office as a member of its real estate department and joint venture & equity investments practice group. She advises a broad range of clients on the negotiation and structuring of complex JVs in connection with the acquisition, disposition, and development of all asset types.

Thompson’s representation of publicly- and privately-held clients on an array of corporate matters takes a holistic approach to accomplishing client objectives in a strategic and efficient manner. Her perspective, having previously practiced in-house for companies ranging from a start-up to a global NYSE-listed life science REIT, provides her with unique insight on client needs with respect to complex deal structuring and execution.

“Allen Matkins boasts an unmatched combination of real estate proficiency with sophisticated equity investment intellect, within which Elizabeth will play a key role,” said partner Paul V. Obico, co-chair of the firm’s joint venture & equity investments group. “Elizabeth’s breadth of experience in real estate and corporate investments, specifically pertaining to joint venture matters, complements Allen Matkins’ practice and supports our diverse client base.”
