Allen Data Center to Receive $50M Upgrade

CyrusOne’s expansive $600 million Allen data center was built in 2017 with growth in mind. Now, the company is ready to make some renovations.

It plans to update the center with a fit-up of shell space for a new data hall and associated equipment galleries, totaling 82,750 square feet. Renovations will also include new additions to the existing service yard and expansion to the metal grate platform. Construction will begin in November with construction costs estimated at $50 million. The design of the data center’s renovations is being handled by Corgan.

The project is slated for completion in April 2024.

The company operates more than 50 data center facilities worldwide with two other centers in Dallas-Fort Worth in Carrollton and Lewisville.
