Most folks in Allen know a new Costco is on the way, and now they know when the doors will open. The wholesale store is set to debut in Allen this August.

The Allen store is located on a roughly 22.5-acre site just south of McKinney. The store will span 160,000 square feet and is estimated to cost $25 million. The wholesale store offers roughly 4,000 items, far fewer than most supermarkets or big box stores. The company says that by carefully choosing products based on quality, price, brand, and features, the company can offer the best value to members.

The Costco will feature a fueling station with up to 32 fueling locations. The fueling station will span over 11,500 square feet and cost $5 million.

The store is one of three new Costco locations in North Texas. A location in Prosper opened in March, and another Costco store is expected to open in Celina later this year.
