Alison Hoagland Named to Mackenzie Board of Directors

Mackenzie has promoted Alison Hoagland to the firm’s Board of Directors. Hoagland, an architect and Principal at the firm, will serve as Mackenzie’s first female architect board member following Susan Higbee, an interior designer, who was the firm’s first female board member.

Hoagland joined Mackenzie in 2004 and has served in several leadership positions leading up to today, most recently as Architecture Department Head. Hoagland leads the firm’s e-commerce team, and through the course of her career at Mackenzie, has led project teams in a variety of market sectors, including retail, commercial, hospitality, educational, industrial, and public safety facilities.

Hoagland has played an important role in several major projects, including as Principal-in-Charge in the design of a large-scale facility in Kansas for the mass production of lithium-ion EV batteries. Beyond the firm, Hoagland is the Chair-elect of the Green Building Initiative, a global nonprofit organization that provides the Green Globes building certification program.
