Aligned Energy Expands Dallas-Area Data Center

Aligned Energy announced an 8-megawatt expansion of its DFW-01, its 19-acre data center campus located in Plano, TX. Upon full build-out, the expansion at 2800 Summit Ave. in the far-north Dallas suburb will support a 375,000-square-foot, 60 MW facility, and is being done in response to increasing customer demand.

The Dallas-Fort Worth data center market has grown steadily in the past five years. In addition to affordable power and access to renewable energy resources, financial services organizations, technology companies and managed services providers have been drawn to the area, thanks to affordable real estate and aggressive tax incentives.

Aligned’s DFW-01 is a carrier-neutral, Tier III data center, which accommodates variable standard and high-power densities, up to 50 kilowatts per rack. The locally-headquartered company owns more than 1.6 million square feet at centers in Ashburn, VA, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.
