Alexandria, Verily Bring Opioid Treatment Campus to Dayton

The first facility has opened at Dayton, OH’s 4.3-acre OneFifteen campus, a treatment center for opioid addiction. The project is a partnership of life sciences REIT Alexandria Real Estate Equities and Verily, an Alphabet company, with Alexandria leading design and development.

“Our country is in the midst of a devastating opioid epidemic—the public health issue of our lifetime,” said Joel S. Marcus, Alexandria’s executive chairman. “We sincerely hope that OneFifteen’s distinctive and integrated approach will give people suffering from addiction an opportunity to live healthier, more productive lives.”

Dayton was selected for the first OneFifteen center due to having one of the nation’s highest death rates from accidental opioid overdose. “While the initial focus is on Dayton, OneFifteen is establishing a sustainable program with the potential to act as a model of care for opioid addiction treatment, and be replicated by others in communities across our nation,” Marcus said.
