Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc., a life science REIT, has unveiled the Alexandria Learning Lab at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington.

The state-of-the-art facility was designed and developed in partnership with Fred Hutch to support STEM education and workforce development within the region’s life sciences cluster. Strategically located at Fred Hutch’s South Lake Union campus, the lab serves as a permanent space for hands-on science training programs. It will host more than 225 high school and undergraduate students annually, offering instruction in fundamental lab techniques and real-world applications in cancer diagnostics and treatment.

Since acquiring the original Fred Hutch campus in 1996, the firm has remained an active contributor to the region’s innovation infrastructure. With the Learning Lab, Alexandria strengthens its commitment to cultivating the next generation of researchers and reinforcing Seattle’s global reputation as a hub for life science advancement.
