Aldi Takes 113k SF at Naperville Campus

Discount grocer Aldi will lease additional space at Agellan Commercial REIT’s Naperville Woods Office Center in Naperville, IL, while maintaining Aldi U.S. headquarters in nearby Batavia. The company will lease about 113,000 square feet at the two-building campus, representing 80% of the space being vacated by Health Care Service Corp.

Health Care Service Corp., a national insurance organization serving about 15 million customers, will continue to maintain a presence at the 490,000-square-foot Naperville Woods complex, leasing about 32,000 square feet. Agellan tapped NAI Hiffman in 2015 to lease and manage the complex.

With the addition of the Aldi and Health Care Service leases and lack of tenant expirations in the near future, Naperville Woods Office Center’s availability rate is less than 2%, the Daily Herald reported. “We are extremely proud of the success we achieved as a team in this challenging market,” said Pat Kiefer, EVP with NAI Hiffman.
