Aldi-Anchored Retail Sells in Elk Grove Village

JLL recently closed the sale of Mallard Crossing, an 80,708-square-foot, Aldi-anchored retail center in the northwestern Chicago suburb of Elk Grove Village, IL. The sales price was not disclosed.

A team led by EVP Janice Sellis represented the seller, IRC Retail Centers LLC, and procured the buyer, a vehicle sponsored by AmCap Management LLC.

Mallard Crossing features anchor tenants Aldi, Ross Dress for Less and Dollar Tree, all of which signed long-term leases within the past year. Non-owned tenants at the property include Walmart and McDonald’s. The property was recently renovated with a new roof and parking lot and façade modernization.

Located at 851-933 Meacham Rd., the property is at the northeast corner of Meacham and Nerge roads, which is visible to more than 38,000 vehicles per day. It’s in an affluent neighborhood with more than 80,000 residents earning an average annual household income of $100,000-plus within a three-mile radius.

There’s still time to register for Connect Chicago Fall 2019, taking place Oct. 29 in Chicago. For more information, or to register, click here.
